My boyfriend was super excited that I recieved this product! We could not wait to test it out and see how it worked.
I was under the impression I was only getting one but 2 came in the box! I was happy about that. But it did make sense, keep one of the freezer while the other one is in your drink! Perfect. A great thing about the chill sticks is you leave them in your drink and seal them around the drinking hole. You can still drink your beer with the chill sticks in them! How cool. And of course you can use them in other drinks, they don't have to be beer or even alcoholic. They work great with a variety of drinks.So I opened the box and immediately stuck them in the freezer for about 3 hours, you can do longer it just needs to be good and cold before using. After a few hours we tested it out 2 different ways:
The first way we tested with a beer that had just came of of the fridge (already cold) and it kept the beer cold for a while.
The second way we tried was with a beer that had been sitting out at moral tempature. It didn't really get the beer cold after 30 minutes of it sitting in the beer.
So we came to the conclusion that it will knee your beer cold when it's already cold rather that chilling it when it's warm. It may cool your drink when it's warm but I didn't see it making it ice cold, but still cool enough to drink.
These beer chill sticks are easy to clean and maintain. Just use, wash, freeze! That's it! I would for sure recommend this to everyone who likes to keep their drink cold! Also could be a great gift for someone. These chill sticks are something I could see myself using regularly.
